Barcelona
Everything you’ve heard about Barcelona is true – what a fabulous city! We spent a week there and loved every minute. The food, the wine, the scenery and the people were all wonderful.

Boston
You Must Do Boston! What a delightful city!I’ve never spent any time in Boston until now, and I cannot wait to make plans to return. Boston is a charming, beautiful city and chock full of fascinating history, fabulous restaurants and fun shopping.
Mendocino
Visiting wineries in Mendocino is nothing like Napa or Sonoma. It’s much, much more rural…probably like Napa was in the 70’s. But, it’s a beautiful area and well worth the visit. Mike and I spent a month in Gualala which is about 40 minutes south of the town of Mendocino right on the Pacific coastline. I didn’t want to leave! It’s a fascinating area. Beautiful forests, incredible organic produce, amazing wildlife and those breathtaking coastal views.

Napa Valley
Let me begin by saying I’ve never taken a trip to a vineyard I didn’t enjoy. Sure, there have been a few that produced wines that weren’t my favorite, but that’s part of the adventure. The breathtaking views, wonderful food and friendly winemakers always make the journey worthwhile.
One Day in Rome
On a Fall cruise to the Mediterranean we had a one day stop in Rome. My friend from San Antonio, Araceli Cardenas, who now lives in Rome was our guide for a whirlwind culinary tour. Araceli now produces videos about Rome that highlight the food and culture. I am thrilled to share our adventures with you here. I am sure this is the beginning of a hugely successful career for Araceli, and I look forward to showcasing more of her work here on Good Taste with Tanji.
San Francisco
One of the most beautiful cities in the country never lets me down. Where else can you spend a long weekend and get incredible food, amazing site seeing, breathtaking views and a quick jaunt to the wine country.
Sonoma Valley
I absolutely love visiting Sonoma! It’s a bit more rural than Napa…more spread out, and that’s a good thing! If you’re a Pinot Noir fan, you must go to Sonoma. There are some fabulous pinot producers. The drive between wineries is beautiful, so relax and enjoy the scenery.

The Beautiful, Elegant Broadmoor in Colorado Springs
It was a big birthday celebration that brought us to the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. I’d always heard about the famous hotel – its incredible beauty and old world luxury. But, seeing it firsthand and experiencing its world class service makes me wish I had come here years ago –I’ll certainly go back!
Forbes Travel Guide (formerly Mobil Travel Guide) once again in 2010 honored the Broadmoor with Five Stars – an honor the Broadmoor has received for 50 consecutive years…the only property to ever achieve this status. The Broadmoor also is a consecutive winner year after year of the AAA Five-Diamond award.
