Wine Classes at Vela

A wine expert once told me the only way to truly learn a lot about wine is to drink a lot of wine – there’s some truth to that.
Vela Wine Bar (they also serve spirits and great food) is now offering wine classes – a great opportunity to taste, compare and learn about wine.

Their next class will focus on ’The World of Sparkling Wines’ – the fun stuff!

You’ll taste Cava from Spain, Prosecco from Italy, a wonderful sparklings from California and the famed Tattinger champagne from France.
If you haven’t been to Vela, treat yourself. It’s a cozy, sleek getaway in the heart of Alamo Heights, and don’t forget about the food! Wonderful small plates, and if you’re really hungry, you can order in some of Paloma Blanca’s fabulous fare.
