Unique Cooking Class at Olive Orchard
Ever seen olive trees growing in Texas? You’ll see more than 10,000 of them this Saturday at nearby Sandy Oaks Olive Orchard, plus, you’ll be entertained and enlightened by Chef ‘extraordinaire’ Michael Flores.
Chef Flores is hosting a cooking class at Sandy Oaks Orchards (about a 15 minute drive from San Antonio) that promises to be a lot of fun and quite tasty too.
Saturday’s menu includes a ‘chiffonade of spinach w/warm olive oil vinaigrette of Mexican chorizo, purple onion, mushrooms and mango, a sword fish poached in olive oil with Greek Skordalia sauce and fried eggplant jam. And then for dessert an Olive Orchard Mud Pie. Wine will be served.
The cost of the class is $45 and it starts at 11 a.m. If you’d like to see more of Sandy Oaks, I’ve got a video here on the website
