Good TV, Good Wine and Good Food
How many of you watch as much TV now as you did five years ago? I can assure based on research numbers I’ve seen, you’re watching less. During my nearly 20 years in the TV biz I heard from viewers all the time…too much violence, too much bad news and never enough good news—I always agreed!
Well, now’s your chance to support TV that is stimulating, informative and entertaining. Whether you love good food, good wine or both (please say you do), there’s a wonderful event Monday night that benefits KLRN TV, our public television station here in SA.
The TV station that brings you quality programming like Front Line, incredible documentaries and my favorite ‘foodie’ shows on weekends with stars like Lida Bastianich, who by the way, cooked in my kitchen recently.
Monday evening from 6-8:30 is the 30th Annual Fine Wine and Cuisine Tasting at the Alamodome. Tickets are $40 in advance and $45 at the door. I’ve been, and it’s a great value. You’ll taste a number of wines from all over and get samples of yummy food from many San Antonio restaurants. PLUS, there are other events later this week.
